I am a SEN qualified teacher with over 10 years teaching experience. For the last 8 years, I have specialised in teaching autistic children, including those with a PDA profile. I hold a degree in Primary Education specialised in Special Needs from La Rioja’s university (Spain).I am also specialised in areas such as ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, language and communication, personal and social development, focus and attention and Behavioural Support.

I am also a professional musician (percussion, clarinet and piano), holding a Bachelor’s degree in music from the Higher Music Conservatory of La Rioja (Spain).

Throughout the years of musical training, I was taught by distinguished piano and clarinet tutors. Moreover, from a young age, I have been an active member of different music bands, orchestras and chamber groups.

As a music teacher, I have extensive experience teaching piano, clarinet, piano, percussion and music theory and through the music, I encourage my students to take pride in their own work and keep in mind the progress they are making.

I believe it is essential for every child to be the main drivers of their own learning process, while providing regular feedback, promoting curiosity and creating a classroom/1:1 environment in which students can feel confident, happy and safe to express themselves.

As a special needs teacher, I have long experience working with unique kids around the world. Over the past years, I have been working in different countries around Europe (Italy, France, Spain and England) and America (Panama) within Sen and mainstream schools, conservatories, music schools, education companies, and running private tuition programmes at home.

I have also run roles as behaviour management officer at different schools around London, England, where I was responsible of observing and analysing the subject to create a personalised behaviour plan within the school environment in order to decrease some specific behaviours that were no longer useful for the kid and somehow were preventing them from accessing learning.
